1999
The Genferberg Group, formerly known as AEM Genève, was founded to act as a leading partner for innovative Swiss startups and SMEs. The original concept aimed to strategically connect leading Swiss companies with other relevant players to create a diverse portfolio from which all stakeholders can benefit. The vision was to develop a dynamic platform that enables Swiss companies to fully exploit their potential through access to a global network and the synergies it brings.

Over time, the Genferberg Group recognized the growing importance of access to external capital for Swiss startups to advance advanced technological and scientific research. As a result, it expanded its commitment and began to provide capital through an extensive investor network. The deep roots in Swiss culture and economy, combined with extensive experience, position the Genferberg Group as a reliable partner for startups and investors alike.
2011
A significant turning point in the history of the Genferberg Group occurred in 2011, when we not only moved our headquarters from Geneva to Zurich, but also changed our name to Genferberg Capital. This change coincided with a significant expansion of our business activities, made possible by the carefully built contacts and partnerships in the Swiss startup ecosystem. Our network of young, innovative Swiss startups became stronger than ever, allowing us to not only provide these companies with advisory support, but also to become active in raising capital.

Through these expanded activities, we were able to offer young companies more comprehensive support - from strategic planning to direct help with raising capital and selling shares. This development enabled us to work even more closely with up-and-coming talent and visionary founders, to realize their growth plans and to have a direct influence on the success of pioneering projects. This phase of further development not only marked a growth of our company, but also a deepening of our mission to sustainably promote and strengthen the Swiss startup landscape. By being able to offer direct access to capital and strategic advice from a single source, we played a crucial role in laying the foundation for the success of many innovative Swiss companies.

The Genferberg Group is now a solid pillar at the heart of the Swiss startup and innovation landscape. With our headquarters in Zurich, at Talacker 41, we have established ourselves as a key player and trusted partner for young, innovative companies. Our extensive range of services extends from financial advice and strategic planning to direct capital procurement and support in the sale of shares.
